After graduating from Guilford College and some time spent working for a financial services company, Bonita Hodges packed up and moved to a place where she knew no one – Dallas, TX. She loved that there was so much opportunity in the area, a place “you could find a career doing almost anything.” The barbecue brisket was nice, too (although it was nothing compared to the vinegar-based barbecue from home). This past June, an amazing professional opportunity brought Bonita back to Greensboro, when she linked up with Black-owned construction and cabling company C2 Contractors, LLC as the organization’s Executive VP of Finance & Strategic Relationships. Bonita is passionate about the development of minority-owned (woman, Black, Brown) businesses and shared, “It’s time these groups are at the forefront.”
