Cheers: MACHETE’S Cocktail Culture

MACHETE restaurant opened in 2020 between Fisher Park and downtown Greensboro – also known as “Lo-Fi.” MACHETE is nestled in between Deep Roots Market, Sage Mule and Joymongers Brewery

Owner and Greensboro native, Tal Blevins is a Boomerang! Tal grew up in Greensboro where he attended Page High and UNC Greensboro. He moved to San Francisco where he worked in tech journalism for 20 years, but a variety of reasons brought him back to Greensboro with his California-born wife. Tal  was also involved with the food and beverage scene in San Francisco, so he started MACHETE in Greensboro with a couple of talented chefs.

MACHETE has quickly become one of Greensboro’s best spots for date night and cocktail hour. Some favorite cocktails include the Holy Sh%t, Where’s the Tylenol? (limited 1 per person!), Cold Brew Negroni and I’ve Got My Orange Crush (vodka + orange shrub + basil + cream + zest). Don’t skip their charcuterie to hold you down for dinner.
