Greensboro Boomerang nominated for 2021 Grammy Award

Three Greensboro residents were nominated for Grammy Awards in 2020. In the season two premiere of the Greensboro Chamber’s  impact. The Boro podcast, Cecelia Thompson, executive director of Action Greensboro, sits down with Greensboro’s local nominees to talk about why our city draws talented musicians.

Tune in to meet local Boomerang, Dominick Amendum, who is nominated for a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album for Stephen Schwartz’s new musical Prince of Egypt.

Dominick currently serves as the Coordinator of the Music Theatre Program at UNC Greensboro. Dominick is a UNCG graduate who left Greensboro to serve for nearly a decade as Associate Music Supervisor of the international mega-hit musical Wicked, and also conducted and music directed Wicked on Broadway, in Los Angeles, and in cities across the U.S. on the first national tour.

We will be cheering for Dominick and our other two local nominees on March 14, 2021 at the Grammy Awards!
