When David Furr moved back to Greensboro in 2021, it wasn’t because the curtain had closed — it was because a new act was beginning.
A Tony-nominated actor with a career spanning Broadway, television, and film, David built a life in New York City surrounded by stages, scripts, and world-class collaborators. His recent work in HBO’s The Gilded Age earned a SAG Award nomination. But behind the spotlight was a deeper skillset: communication, collaboration, and the kind of emotional intelligence that doesn’t just move audiences — it builds teams.
Returning to his hometown offered more than just a change of pace. It opened the door to reimagining how his talents could serve his community. Whether through coaching, guest teaching at institutions like NYU or Hofstra, or mentoring creatives and professionals alike, David has made a career out of translating complex ideas into something engaging, inspiring, and human.
Now back in Greensboro, he’s looking to put those skills to work in new ways — exploring opportunities in communications, leadership, and storytelling-driven strategy. He’s not just returning to a familiar place. He’s stepping into a new chapter with intention: ready to listen, connect, and contribute.
