Madison and Carr Allen met as seniors at Grimsley High School. They were each other’s prom date, college pen pal, and eventually, lifelong partner. After years building careers — Madison as an attorney and Carr as a physical therapist — and spending time away in Raleigh, they found themselves craving the very things they grew up with: a sense of community, closeness to family, and the ease of life in a place that still feels like home.

Now raising their children in Fisher Park, they’re soaking up everything they once took for granted: neighborhood caroling with friends who feel more like family, strolls through Greensboro’s tree-lined streets, and a pace of life that lets them be more present — with each other, and with their little ones.
