She’s back. And Greensboro gets the benefit.
After years of national service and civic engagement work in Washington, DC and NYC, Christy Venable is boomeranging home. 🌀
Christy is a mission-driven leader with 15+ years of experience building public-private partnerships that actually work. From launching NYC Service Year at the Mayor’s Office to overseeing $10M in federal and state grants, she knows how to turn big ideas into real impact, with a steady focus on expanding opportunity and strengthening communities.
She’s just started a new role as External Affairs Officer with NC Commission on Volunteerism & Community Service (VolunteerNC), part of the North Carolina Governor’s Office. Even better, she’ll be based in Greensboro, close to family, and commuting to Raleigh via Amtrak. Downtown to downtown. Easy.
Coming home isn’t a step back. It’s a smart move forward. And Greensboro keeps winning.
